The owner Angelique Thompson, is an established interior designer and property developer who has created a luxury boutique style bed and breakfast in the heart of Fowey's town centre. Not only can her guests stay in the house which is beautifully crafted and furnished with some of the worlds most luxurious handmade and stylish furniture and decorations, but if the guests fall in love with their rooms, they can purchase the exact same items of furniture and design in their very own boutique shop on the ground floor!
Angelique contacted me via an existing client and asked me to design a new logo and brand identity for her quirky and very unique dream business venture. During the complete renovation work being carried out on the house, I worked closely with Angelique to produce a design which needed to suit the style and image that she wished to create and furnish the interior of Upton House.
Once the logo was finalised, work began on the website which also had to echo the luxurious 1920's vintage style that the now finished house, has been decorated in. A professional photoshoot was staged with models dressed and made to suit the particular decor and individually themed rooms. These images were to become the focal point and main visual appeal of the entire website, so the imagery had to be large and prominent wherever possible.
The final website includes the usual information about Upton House, room details, location and places to visit in the surrounding area. It also has a Twitter feed that Angelique uses to keep visitors up-to-date with special events that will take place at Upton House, plus an online booking facility which is linked in with the online booking website, Eviivo.
