cycle the lights

Cycle the Lights is an event designed to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and to raise much needed funds for two charities, Ovarian Cancer Action and Overcome - The Ovarian Cancer Support Network.

In March 2010, 37 year old Simon Curtis will circumnavigate mainland Britain on his bicycle, visiting every on-shore lighthouse on the way.

project background

Simon contacted me seeking help in the creation of a logo and website for his charity ride. The website was to help promote his journey, but with the main purpose of raising awareness of Ovarian Cancer and to help raise as much money as possible for the two charities.

To help Simon reach his goal, I offered to design the logo and website for him, in exchange for my logo to appear within the sponsors on the website.

To find out more about the ride and help Simon raise as much money as possible for the charities 'Ovarian Cancer Action' and 'Overcome', please visit his website at www.cyclethelights.co.uk - thank you!

client testimonial

"I first contacted Mark back in July as I was looking for a suitable logo for my charity event. After trawling through the work of local graphic designers I soon came across Marks work and loved his particular style...
We worked through some ideas together and got a fantastic logo that's really bold, simple and very eye-catching. As mark had had a personal connection with the effects of cancer he kindly offered his services for not only the logo but also the website and other design work needed for the project.
I would have really struggled without Marks expertise... a true professional."
